Venntaur presents "Tampere" EP series:
I've been living in Tampere for 10+ years. I'm fascinated by maps and how they relate to local history. In this series of EPs I draw inspiration from my immediate surroundings, the city and its districts.

Also, using city districts gives me lots of cool names since naming tracks is often the hardest part :).

Tampere I–V
(VENNM101)

I: Finlayson
In 1882, the first electric light in the Nordic countries was installed in the Finlayson factory. This downtempo intro to the Tampere series reflects the industrial roots of the city.

II: Tammerkoski
This deep house track flows like the Tammerkoski rapids, providing energy for the city. This district is the stirring core of the city.

III: Nalkala
A funky tech house piece for the "lower central", home of the intriguing Kehräsaari area and Laukontori market square.

IV: Amuri A
Amuri is the old workers' housing district. The monotonous labour of the worker is reflected in this minimal tech/acid track.

V: Amuri B
The southern "B" part of Amuri contains the Metso library, shrine of knowledge. This late night electro piece concludes the first Tampere EP.
